BAGDOGRA AIRPORT TO PHUENTSHOLING (160 KMS/6 HRS JOURNEY)
Welcome to your Bhutan Tour! Arrive at Bagdogra Airport till 2pm. We will have lunch in Siliguri and transfer to Phuentsholing (Indo/Bhutan border). On arrival complete the immigration formalities and check – in at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
PHUENTSHOLING – THIMPHU (160 KMS/4 HRS JOURNEY)
After breakfast transfer to Thimphu “The Capital Town of Bhutan“ one can enjoy beautiful Mountain view and River side on the way. Enroute we have lunch & visit Sangye Migyur Ling Lhakhang – A Tower for Milarepa in the Land of the Thunder Dragon. On arrival to Thimpu check in at the hotel. If time permits in the evening we will visit The Tashichhoe Dzong Outer view (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Dinner & Overnight stay at Thimphu.
THIMPHU
After breakfast visit outer view Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue known as Buddha Point), Hindu Temple, Outer view of National Memorial Chorten (Monument). Return to hotel for lunch later in the afternoon visit Nunnery (Female Monk Prayer Place), BBS Tower, Thimpu Market (Handicraft product and Local product can be Found here) and visit Simply Bhutan. Dinner & Overnight stay at Thimpu.
THIMPHU – PUNAKHA (80 KMS/3 HRS JOURNEY)
After breakfast drive to Punakha you have to cross Dochu-la Pass from where one can see of Beautiful Mountain ranges of Bhutan (Subject to weather condition) and here it is built 108 memorial chorten (small stupas). [In Punakha you also have option to do white water river rafting at your own expense] Lunch, Dinner & Overnight in Punakha.
PUNAKHA - PHOBJIKHA- BUMTHANG (212 KMS/6 HRS JOURNEY)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Phobjikha across Pele-La-Pass (3351mts). There is an abrupt change in vegetation, with mountain forest replaced by high altitude dwarf bamboo. Enroute stop for lunch at Phobjikha and after drive towards Chendbji Chorten - built in the style of the great Bodhanath Choten of Nepal. Further ahead drive through Yutong-La-Pass (3424mts.), then visit Punakha Dzong. While in Chumey valley in Bumthang, visit the Yathra Weaving Factory - It is the most famous textile product of Bumthang. On arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Bumthang.
BUMTHANG
Bumthang is a serene valley rich in history and culture. Known for sacred sites like Kurjey Lhakhang and Mebar Tsho, it boasts stunning landscapes, vibrant festivals, and unique local products like honey and apple cider.
After breakfast we visit Jakar Dzong: Literally meaning the Castle of White Bird. The current structure was built in 1667. Jambay Lhakhang: built by King Tsongtsen Gampo of Tibet. In October one of the most spectacular festival, “Jambay Lhakhang Drup” is staged here. Afternoon we visit Tamshing Lhakhang: Literally meaning the Temple of the good message, established in 1501 by Pema Lingpa and if time permits we visit Mebar Tsho, evening leisure near riverside. Dinner & Overnight stay at Bumthang.
BUMTHANG - PUNAKHA (212 KMS/6 HRS JOURNEY)
After a light breakfast, take some time to enjoy and relax in Bumthang. After lunch, depart for Punakha at around 1pm. The evening is free to rest and unwind. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in Punakha.
PUNAKHA - PARO (120 KMS/4 HRS JOURNEY)
After breakfast, we will drive to Paro. Our first visit will be at the Mountain River, where you can experience the refreshing and clear waters. Later, we will visit the Museum of lights [closed on Sat/Sun as Govt holiday], Ringpung Dzong and Paro Market, a charming place to crafted wooden handicrafts and showcasing of typical Bhutanese arts. Lunch, Dinner & overnight stay in Paro.
PARO
After breakfast excursion trip to Chele-La-Pass – the highest motorable road in Bhutan (Distance: 35 kms. One way/Driving Time: 2 hrs/altitude of Chele-La-Pass: 3988 meters). Enjoy the scenic beauty and memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Back to Paro on the way can visit Eagle view Point (From here one can see the beautiful artistic Airport). Evening Try Bhutanese Traditional Dress and Shopping at Town. Lunch, Dinner & Overnight stay at Paro.
Guests who are enthusiasts of trekking have the opportunity to visit TAKSTANG MONASTERY at their own expense [you will also need to pay guide expense]. The monastery is located a 30- minute drive away from our hotel. You may depart early in the morning before breakfast and rejoin the tour upon completion of your visit.
PARO – PHUENTSHOLING (150 KMS/4 HRS JOURNEY)
After a light breakfast, take some time to enjoy and relax in Paro. After lunch, depart for Phuentsholing at around 1pm. The evening is free to rest and unwind. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in Phuentsholing.
PHUENTSHOLING TO BAGDOGRA AIRPORT (150 KMS/4-5 HRS JOURNEY)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for departure. Flights to be booked after 2pm.

The journey from Bagdogra to Phunetsholing and return, will be via a Bus/ Tempo/ 6 Seater Vehicle due to Union Restrictions. Phuentsholing onwards we will provide our Group Vehicles.

Travel by flight from Kolkata to Paro to Avoid Long Road Journey.
Pickup from Paro and drop to Thimpu.
Skip night stay at Phuentsholing on the First and Last day.
Join on ‘Day 2’ & leave on ‘Day 10’ from the below detailed itinerary.

THE BALANCE PAYMENT SHALL BE PAID 21 DAYS BEFORE TOUR DEPARTURE DATE. IF ANYBODY FAILS TO PAY THE BALANCE AMOUNT BEFORE 21 DAYS, THEN YOUR ROOMS WILL BE AUTO RELEASED AND NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED. IF WE ARE FORCED TO CANCEL THE TOUR DUE TO THE UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES LIKE NATURAL CALAMITIES - FLOODS, RIOTS, BANDS, STRIKES OR ANY POLITICAL REASONS ETC. Bhutan is a tobacco free zone, so no smoking in and around town.
Whenever you visit Dzong you are asked to wear full sleeve clothes, no caps and photography allowed. Guide will inform you in advance.
The country is a litter free zone so we request our guest not to throw anything outside the window or inside the bus.
Bhutan has free trade but people there don’t like much of bargaining.
They have strict traffic rules and at some places vehicle cannot go; guest are requested to co-operate with it.
Carry INR 100 & 50 Rupee denomination in Bhutan. Rupee denomination note of INR 500 are not accepted in Bhutan.
All SIM Cards will work in Bhutan if you get your International Roaming activated (Differs from service provider to service provider). It will not work without International Roaming.
